Ben Simmons Partners with Metro Esports

In September 2021, Ben Simmons announced his partnership with Metro Esports, a local Esports facility headquartered in Philadelphia, where people can not only play PC, console and VR video games, but also take classes on coding, designing and broadcast engineering. Ben chose to work alongside Metro Esports to bring this unique technological education and gaming apparatus specifically to students in the Greater Philadelphia Area.  Beginning in the fall of 2021, Ben will be sponsoring 50 aspiring tech and gaming enthusiasts from the Philadelphia region to participate in Metro Esports’ “Digital Bridges Gaming and Stem Certification Program.”

When asked about why he chose to partner with Metro Esports, Ben said, “Gaming is a passion of mine. However, not everyone has the same opportunities, which is why I am supporting a program like Digital Bridges. Bringing access to STEM education, through tech and gaming- in a safe space where young people can learn, play and leave with skills that can help them in the future, means a lot.” Stay tuned for updates on Ben Simmons and his partnership with Metro Esports on Instagram (@metroesportsus).

TKA Founder & CEO Alexys Feaster wins Hennessy #NeverStopNeverSettle Award

We are incredibly proud to announce that our very own Founder and CEO, Alexys Feaster, was a recipient of the Hennessy “Never Stop, Never Settle” award, which recognizes the strivers and dreamers who create change in the face of adversity. The “Never Stop, Never Settle” society works in partnership with the Marcus Graham Project, to create a more equitable landscape for Black entrepreneurs. The society inducted an inaugural group of 20 business owners, each chosen for their commitment to reshaping the world through social impact, increasing representation for Black-owned businesses, and job creation within underserved communities.

In founding the social impact firm, The Kinship Advisors in January of 2021, Alexys is reimaging how future businesses aim to make a social impact and is solidifying herself as one of the premiere leaders in connecting the sports and entertainment industries to people committed to social justice and sustained impact in underserved communities.  The Kinship Advisors, along with four other Black-owned businesses, each received $50,000.00 in funding to further their efforts.

When asked about what receiving the “Never Stop, Never Settle” award means to her, Alexys stated, “Launching The Kinship Advisors was a test of courage and faith. I think about my legacy a lot – how do I want to be remembered and what do I want to leave behind? I want to be remembered as someone who never stopped regardless of the adversity or the foes who posed as friends. Someone who never settled in life and always sought the people, vibes and opportunities grounded in goodness. I want to be remembered as a light, who draws in the people and opportunities that will work together for the greater good. Being selected as an inaugural member of the “Never Stop, Never Settle” society validates the work we are doing at The Kinship Advisors, partnering with people of influence to make lasting impact.”
