In September 2021, Ben Simmons announced his partnership with Metro Esports, a local Esports facility headquartered in Philadelphia, where people can not only play PC, console and VR video games, but also take classes on coding, designing and broadcast engineering. Ben chose to work alongside Metro Esports to bring this unique technological education and gaming apparatus specifically to students in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Beginning in the fall of 2021, Ben will be sponsoring 50 aspiring tech and gaming enthusiasts from the Philadelphia region to participate in Metro Esports’ “Digital Bridges Gaming and Stem Certification Program.”
When asked about why he chose to partner with Metro Esports, Ben said, “Gaming is a passion of mine. However, not everyone has the same opportunities, which is why I am supporting a program like Digital Bridges.
